Janet Kirina has decided to try her hand at singing.
Her debut single, 'Love Mission', is a high-tempo dance track that relies heavily on kapuka beats with a subtle house influence.
Going from singing to acting has generally been an easy transition to make for any artist, but the inverse is a road less travelled.
Despite the negative stats and harsh critics, the Kalasha award winning actress, who has starred in films like 'Benta' and 'Higher Learning', has set her eyes on a musical path and is sticking to it.
She said: "This track has been playing in my mind for the last 2yrs and its so divine to finally get to share it." (sic).
The track was produced by Kevin TheGeek at Zari Studios and it complements the singer's vocal ability which is not a total fail.
Kirina will no doubt hope her singing career duplicates the success of her film 'Higher Learning'. At the time of its release last year, she said: "To me 'Higher Learning' has been a revealing experience, pushing myself harder and experimenting with new ideas that left me feeling that acting is such a powerful tool.
"Being given the chance to live other people's lives is an honour, seeing the team(cast and crew) give their best makes me say I am proud to be a part of 'Higher Learning'."
