Big Comeback For Makoma After 6- Year Break

They have been out of the scene for almost six year, but now they are back after signing a deal with BC3 Media. The Makoma group is back with a bang, and already has a new video, Yo Ozali from their new album, Evolution that is set to hit the stores soon.

The award winning Congolese group is well known for its Christian pop music that dominated the gospel field before the surge of the new breed of gospel artistes. Their songs are mainly in English and Lingala. Formed in 1993, the Makoma started as Nouveau Testament, but changed their name in 1997 after relocating to Holland. Some of the albums attached to the talented group’s name include Nzambe na Bomoyi (Jesus for Life), King of Kings, No Jesus No Life, History (July), and Evolution.

The Makoma will still be working together with their former producer, Andre Straesser and are set to work on five albums. Quite something to look forward to!

Here is the latest video to one of the songs in the Evolution album: Yo Ozali
